Premier League Thanksgiving Weekend Gambling Guide

The Turkey has been eaten and the holiday shopping has commenced. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving but it’s time to get all that money that you spent on Black Friday deals back, and luckily the money train is back this week to help guide you . There are a lot of very tasty match ups in the Premier League this week, ok so  maybe there are two good ones and some duds, but using this guide, lets make some money anyway.

Manchester City (-185)

Southampton (+475)

Draw (+325)

I don’t know what’s happened to Manchester City recently. Things were great and then all of a sudden they forgot how to play against Aston Villa and have carried that over their next two games. While everyone is focused on Leicester City at the top of the table, Southampton have been quietly doing their thing again. Prior to last week’s loss, Southampton had only lost once since August. Every trend here suggests Southampton should be able to nick at least a point (+325) at the Etihad, which means don’t be shocked when City run away with it.

Leicester City (+210)

Manchester United (+130)

Draw (+230)

One of the trends this season has been the bookies being really slow to recognize certain things this season such as Chelsea being terrible or Leicester being good. For the life of me I don’t understand how Leicester is an underdog in this match. The simple explanation is because of the name they’re playing, Manchester United, and the fact that United is in second place. Obviously lines are set to promote equal betting on both sides but is all the money really coming in on United? Have you seen them play this year? Sure they’ve got the second most points in the league but they’ve only looked good in doing so for about 30 minutes this year. Meanwhile Leicester have amassed the most points in the league and have looked great while doing so (also remember Marc Albrighton has a nice history of being a United killer). Leicester’s style of taking the game to you is a perfect clash of United’s passive style of just letting the game go by. That’s good for Leicester and bad for United. Take that (+210) and thank me later.

Tottenham (+150)

Chelsea (+175)

Draw (+240)

It’s about time Chelsea finally isn’t favored in a match. I know every Spurs fan you know will probably tell you “it’s so typical Tottenham to be playing well and then lose at home to a bad Chelsea team,” but here’s the thing, this Spurs side has been defying “typical Tottenham” all season. Sure Chelsea have typically owned Tottenham and it’s much easier to say their New Years Day 5-3 victory is more an aberration then the new normal but not this week. In the year 2015 Harry Kane has outscored Diego Costa 24-10. Kane has scored in 12 of 14 London derbies and stopping him will certainly be a challenge for a Chelsea defense that’s missing John Terry. Spurs will miss Dele Alli, but for the first time in quite some time they have depth, as Dembele can slot right in next to Dier in the middle of the field and Spurs can still continue their charge up the table with a win.

Other lines

Watford (+175) have been pretty solid away from home this year. Villa lost any and all good will they had after that 0-0 draw with City when they lost 4-0 to Everton last week. Speaking of Everton, (+147) against Bouremouth? Please and thank you. West Ham aren’t as bad as their 4-1 loss to Tottenham suggests, but they are going to suffer greatly from the loss of Dimitri Payet. Combine that with their overall not very good form at home, and West Brom (+290) is awfully enticing.

Let’s make some money this weekend.
