Everything you wanted to know about the Premier League

The Premier League had been deferred to discourage the spread of Coronavirus. On 13th March, Friday, the initial decision was taken for halting the season after the English Football League, the Football Association, and the FA Women’s Championship, and FA Women’s Super League made a joint agreement. Only a week later, on 19th March, a decision was made for extending the period of suspension and the FA confirmed this news.

After an absence of 100 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Aston Villa vs. Sheffield United would kick off the top-flight resumption of the English. This is the first of ninety-two games that would be full of panicky 40 days before the conclusion of the season on 26th July. Every fixture would be played secretly to stop the spread of the virus.

Before the matches, a minute’s silence will be held for remembering those who have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

All the 92 games would be broadcast live. 4 matches will be telecast on the BBC. Liverpool holds 25 points and it has positioned at the top whereas Bournemouth, Norwich City, and Aston Villa happen to be in their relegation positions. Ninety-two fixtures still need to be played and every team is needed to finish nine except Aston Villa, Arsenal, Sheffield United, and Manchester City who have got 10 clashes each.

The beginning of the matches

The four teams that have got a game in hand tend to be in action on 17th June where Manchester City will face Arsenal and Aston Villa will take on Sheffield United. The initial entire set of match-days will follow on the weekend of 19th to 21st June.

The places where games will be played

Most of the games will be played at the home team’s stadiums but always behind closed doors. However, there are some botherations about the gathering of fans outside the grounds and so; it prompted the police to request the matches to be held at some neutral venues, like Manchester City vs. Newcastle, Manchester City vs. Liverpool, Newcastle vs. Liverpool, Manchester United vs. Sheffield United, and Liverpool vs. Everton.

The role that television will play

No fan will be permitted to enter the stadium and so, the resumption would be made for television. Spectators will see very match live and most of them will be shown on Sky. As the broadcaster has pledged, 25 games will be shown free to air. BT Sport is supposed to show twenty matches but none of them would be free to air. Again, Amazon too is expected to show 4 games and the BBC will show 4 live matches of Premium League.

The status of the fans

There might be some cardboard cutouts of fans. Again in Germany, there is a possibility of videos that would be shown on a big screen. However, the most important thing is there would be a complete absence of an interaction with the teams and the fans. Nonetheless, fans can continue to entertain themselves playing Judi Online while watching the Premier League. The majority of the clubs have made this announcement that ticket holders would be refunded for matches that would be held behind closed doors.
