WATCH: Manchester United races to a four-goal lead against Leicester

With its recent losing streak, Manchester United has been the subject of intense scrutiny and criticism in recent days.

After scoring four goals in the first 45 minutes against Leicester City, it might be time to move away from the panic button.

Set pieces were a real issue for the defending champions, and Chris Smalling started the scoring off a headed corner in the 23rd minute:

Juan Mata, playing in his preferred central role with Wayne Rooney out of the starting lineup, doubled the hosts’ advantage at the end of this fine bit of play in the 37th minute:

The goals started flying in after that, with Marcus Rashford adding goal No. 3 just three minutes later:

Finally, Paul Pogba knocked home the fourth and final goal of the half with a thumping header:
