Will Manchester City finish in the top four?

With the new TV rights, which bring impressive amount of money into the club accounts, specially to Premier League clubs, the English championship have become the main attraction for every football fan.

The Premier League is considered by many the most balanced championship and perhaps also the strongest, where the difference between the first and the last team in the table is not as big as in other leagues.  Premier League attract again the best players and best managers in the World. Last summer Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte completed the list of managers in the Premier League, and added a big plus to Premier League.

Six teams are fighting for the title, maybe even seven, approximately with equal chances for winning the trophy.

Last summer Manchester City were seen with the greatest chances of winning the league by Guts live sports betting UK licensed betting operator. Not just Guts sportsbook seen City with high chances but also other UK betting operators like Bet365 or WilliamHill.

City, have the most valuable squad and one of the best coaches in world Pep Guardiola, but things got a bit more complicated for The Citizens as the team is situated only on a disappointing 5th place.

City had a perfect start and after 6 stages they were leading with maximum points, with a win on Old Trafford against Manchester United and everyone thought that Manchester City will play better and better after the players will accommodate with the style imposed by the Spanish coach.

The next game City lost somehow surprisingly even if this defeat away from home at Tottenham Hotspur. Basically the disaster started after this game as the team lost important points in Premier League but also on Champions League where they finished second in the Group.

Even if they qualified to the second  round of the Champions League, where they are going to play against AS Monaco, City had a few disappointing results as they draw in both games against Celtic and away at Monchengladbach.

Already at 10 points behind Chelsea and with little chances of fighting for the title the fans have lost the patience and are unhappy with the results and with players game. Even so the club owners have not lost the faith in Guardiola and they still believe that The Spanish coach is the right man for this job.

The opening of the transfer window from January also meant the first move for Manchester City as they brought the Brazilian Gabriel Jesus at the club. The Brazilian striker came from Palmeiras for 32 millions, and the player is expected to bring more value and more opportunities in attack for Guardiola .  Even if the title chances are extremely low at the moment and the elimination in round 4 of the League Cup by their rivals from Manchester United, the season is not completely missed.

A top four finish in the Premier League is still In the cards considering that there are only 3 points behind 2nd place occupied by Tottenham Hotspur. A top four finish collaborated with reaching the final phases of Champions League would improve the situation at City. Guardiola has also the possibility of winning another trophy, The FA Cup where they will play against Crystal Palace in the 4th round.
