VIDEO: Chelsea scores three goals in less than 20 min

Chelsea went on an offensive rampage on a helpless Newcastle defense as Chelsea scored an impressive three goals in less than 20 minutes.

Chelsea and Newcastle came into the game in dire need of a win as both currently sit on the bottom portion of the Premier League table. However, only one team came ready to play as Chelsea hit Newcastle hard scoring early and often.

It began with Diego Costa, as most Chelsea games do, breaking the deadlock at the fifth minute scoring from a difficult angle as Willian managed to feed Costa, coming off a nice turn to beat Newcastle’s defense. Take a look as Diego Costa scores while diving, not to giving up on the ball:

Not four minutes later a lackadaisical back pass by the Newcastle defense, coupled with a lack of communication, led to a huge error that Pedro capitalized on as he stole the ball from midfield, made a run towards the Newcastle net and unleashed a shot from outside the box that beat Newcastle keeper Elliot. Take a look at Pedro’s fantastic run and powerful shot from outside to increase Chelsea’s lead to 2-0:

Chelsea was still not done as some more horrible defending by Newcastle led to Chelsea’s third goal. Diego Costa made a run along the right side of the field with minimal defending, and at the same time nobody seemed to notice Willian sprinting down the middle of the field. As Costa reached the top of the box, he linked up with Willian and the Brazilian scored with ease as there were no defenders marking him.

Check out who Willian scored (from open play!) to put Chelsea up 3-0:
