Video: Edison Cavani gets through to give PSG the lead

You have to give Chelsea credit. They faced an onslaught of a PSG attack from the moment the game kicked off and they never relented, they even took their chances and found an equalizer at the very end of the first half.

However when the second half started PSG seemed to up their onslaught even more, if that was even possible. The entire second half looked like it was Paris banging on the door of Chelsea’s goal. They managed to find every which way to punish their English opponents with the exception of actually scoring a goal.

Seeking to find a way to finally break through Chelsea’s defense, PSG manager Laurent Blanc called on his bench in the 74th minute when he brought on striker Edison Cavani. The move paid dividends right away as just four minutes later Cavani got himself on the end of a beautiful Angel di Maria ball. He hadn’t been on the field long, but Cavani made his mark right away and gave PSG the 2-1 lead.
