VIDEO: Kevin de Bruyne finishes off Hull City in Capital One Cup with two superb goals

It wasn’t really a shock that Manchester City defeated Hull City in the Capital One Cup but Manchester City did it with such ease, winning 4-1. The result was clinched mainly by Kevin de Bruyne’s two goals to close out the game.

His first was due to a gaffe by the Hull City defense. De Bruyne seized the opportunity, headed the ball out of the reach of Hull and got his first goal of the night.

His second goal was just sublime. De Bruyne’s free kick near the end of the game left everybody on Hull City stunned and de Bruyne’s perfect free kick put them up 4-0 at the time. A Hull City goal at the end made it 4-1.

In terms of the other Capital One Cup games, Everton and Stoke both won by 2-0 margins over Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday respectively, guaranteeing an all EPL Capital One Cup semifinal. Southampton and Liverpool play tomorrow night to see who joins the other three teams.
