VIDEO: Sunderland, Spurs trade goals in 90 seconds

After a slow start to the Spurs/Sunderland game, the action really picked up in the second half as both teams managed to find the back of the net by the halftime whistle.

It started with Sunderland, who had nine men defending for most of the first half, and from a nice through pass by Adam Johnson found Patrick Van Aanholt for the goal. Van Aanholt just managed to stay onside and slipped the ball past Hugo Lloris on the near side for the 1-0 Sunderland lead at the 42nd minute.

Check out the goal by Van Aanholt:

After the initial Spurs shot rebounded off keeper Jordan Pickford, Eriksen found the ball near the top of the 18-yard box and drilled a shot that rebounded off Sunderland defender Lee Catermole, who was looking to clear the ball away, and into the net.

Look at how the Spurs goal developed:

A few minutes later the whistle for halftime blew, with both teams level at one. Let us hope the rest of the game has the energy of those last five minutes.
