WATCH: Bill Murray serenades Joachim Low with Yogi Bear song

Chalk this up to the unpredictable greatness of Bill Murray.

Hosting the Laureus World Sports Awards in Berlin, Murray did the usual fare of any award host, friendly banter among the guests and keep things light and entertaining throughout the night. When he spotted German National Team manager Joachim Low in the crowd, Murray couldn’t help himself by singing to the defending World Cup winning manager, after jokingly mistaking him for Paul McCartney.

Now correlating Low’s nickname Jogi for Yogi Bear is a bit of an easy target, and it was a bit awkward but isn’t that what award shows are anyway? It’s full of awkwardness between host and audience. Plus, this isn’t really shocking coming from Bill Murray. And that’s what makes it so great.
