WATCH: Chelsea ends Southampton’s 708 minute shutout streak with a cross that went in

This probably wasn’t the way Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster expected to end his and Southampton’s 708 minute shutout streak but it shockingly did.

Cesc Fabregas originally looked like he was trying to cross the ball to Eden Hazard but seeing the trajectory of the ball, Hazard stopped and let it go. Forster also appeared to stop and Fabregas scored on that cross, equalized and ended the streak all in one simple accident.

Chelsea really needed that goal to try and move up into the top 10. Southampton, on the other hand, is trying to go for a top five run and are now in 6th, missing an opportunity for a top five.
