PFA Young Player of the Year Dele Alli may have handed the English Premier League title to Leicester City. While it wasn’t called and not caught on the main TV feed, camera footage still caught Tottenham’s Alli turning around and pulling a pretty good punch to the stomach of West Brom’s Claudio Yacob in their game on Monday.
As you can see in the clip, the referee wasn’t looking at the act so that’s why Alli wasn’t penalized during the game. That doesn’t mean there won’t be some sort of retroactive penalty. If that is ruled to be violent conduct, Alli could miss the final three games of the season and put Tottenham in a bigger hole than they are currently in. If Tottenham defeats West Brom, they will be five points behind Leicester City for 1st place in the EPL with 3 games left.
