Oh You Beauty!: Top 5 Goals of the Week 10/27/2014

1. Muhamed Keita vs. Gornik Leczna

This is really a wonder strike. The precision required on that hit was nothing short of world class. This is a goal that Keita will remember for the rest of his career.

2. Manuel Fernandes vs. Spartak

You can accuse Spartak of slack defending here, but that shouldn’t take away from the close control that Fernandes exhibits and that excellent shot he is able to pull off under pressure.

3. Samuel Eto’o vs. Burnley

They say form is temporary, class is permanent. Samuel Eto’o again shows why he is so highly rated, even in his “old age”. Beautiful upper 90 shot.

4. Alim Ozturk vs. Hibernian

The goal that put Hearts back into the game at the Edinburgh Derby. An inch higher, it would have careened off the top bar, and an inch lower it’s blocked by the keeper. Maybe a little lucky, maybe pure class. What a hit, son, what a hit.

5. Sammy Ameobi vs. Tottenham

Pure counterattacking soccer. The supersub, Ameobi, makes good after only 6 seconds on the field, getting on the end of a beautiful cross field pass and coolly slots it past Lloris.
