Preview: Everton vs. Arsenal

Gotta love the schedule makers for this juicy treat. A great matchup of two teams that have high expectations for this season. Arsenal is coming off a thrilling injury time winner while Everton is returning to play after a draw in their opener. Arsene Wenger is using the media to get his point across to his team. He will get the results or they aren’t strong enough mentally. Its put up or shut up time for Arsenal. Look for Alexis Sánchez to improve as he learns his teammates quirks. Arsenal are close to full squad fitness. Jack Wilshire should be motivated and with the return of world cup winning number ten; arsenal should have plenty of chances. Will Theo return and add another attacking option for the gunners.

Everton coming off a draw are looking to get their first three points of the season against a title contender. The news of Tim Howard taking a break from the national team sill have no effect on his performance in the game. The toffees need to find a creative spark in the absence of Ross Barkley. They need to score goals in this one to come away victorious. Romelu Lukakau tends to play big against the cream of the crop. Roberto Martinez also has a good record against teams in the top half and he will be looking to the matchup and he is tactically equal to Wenger. Its just that does he have the firepower to defeat a “stronger” gunners team.

This should be a thrilling encounter as both teams want all points so their seasons start pointed north. It WILL be an end to end showdown that will leave one team satisfied and one team disappointed. The home team will win in a thriller 3-2.
