Hall of Fame Tennis Championships Continue In Newport, Rhode Island After Wimbledon Final

After a thrilling Wimbledon final that saw Novak Djokovic defeat Roger Federer three sets to one for his third Wimbledon title, some of the best tennis players in the world on the ATP Tour are heading to Newport, Rhode Island for the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.

The event begins on July 11 and runs all the way through July 19, when the singles and doubles finals are played from the 32-player field. This year’s singles field includes John Isner, Sam Querrey, Steve Johnson, Tommy Haas, Jared Donaldson, Dustin Brown, Bernard Tomic, Illya Marchenko , Mark Philippoussis and others. Two of the top contenders figure to be Philippoussis, who won the event in 2006, and Isner, the winner of the tournament in 2011 and 2012. Lleyton Hewitt won last year’s championship but is not participating in this year’s event.
