The Miami Marlins don’t have a lot to celebrate in recent years but one bright spot in last year’s squad was Dee Gordan, who won the NL batting title and stolen base title, not to mention was named an All-Star and won a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger award.

To celebrate his accomplishments, Marlins owner Jeffry Loria presented Gordon with a diamond pendant necklace that would make Jay-Z jealous. The only thing better than the expensive gift? Gordon’s priceless reaction.

The best part is the way Gordon immediately turns into a little boy at Christmas.

Gordon: “Can I show this to my teammates?”
Loria: “You can do whatever you want with it.”

Marlins manager Don Mattingly was also on hand to ask a semi-joking question. “Is that a chain or a belt buckle?”

Loria just better be careful. He’s setting a precedent and if Gordon repeats his on-field success in 2016, he might need to shell out quite a bit more next time around.
