Every day in minor league baseball is likely to serve up some fascinating stunt. On Monday, our attention shifted to the triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The IronPigs went down in defeat, but the team put on quite the show for the fans who stuck around by bringing out a human cannonball:

Look closely enough and it appears there may have been a few players hanging around in the dugout to witness this act for themselves. It should be noted that the human cannonball act has a history within the Phillies family as well. The major league Phillies used the act during the late 1970s and early 1980s among many zany pregame festivities to build excitement. The double-A affiliate of the team in Reading, PA pulled off the stunt back in 2013:
Who doesn’t love firing a human body out of a cannon for pure entertainment?
