25 year old Bellator MMA fighter Jordan Parsons has passed away following a hit-and-run in Delray Beach, Florida.

Parsons was 11-2 in MMA competitions, and under the Bellator banner he went 2-1 with one knockout and one submission to his credit.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a dear member of the Bellator family, Jordan Parsons,” Bellator President Scott Coker said in a statement. “Jordan was an exceptional athlete and a rising star in the sport. But more importantly, he was an exceptional young man. Jordan was hard-working, dedicated, intelligent, and a pleasure to be around. He represented all the reasons we love this sport. It is a terribly tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and teammates.”

The incident occurred early the morning of May 1st, and Parsons required a leg amputation and his spleen needed to be removed following the accident. He remained in the critical care unit of a local hospital until his passing today.

Any information regarding the car or the incident should be sent to the Delray Beach Police Department, who can be contacted at 561-243-7810.
