Marcus Smart has long been known for flopping. So much so that opposing college fan bases used to collectively flop to mock him when he played at Oklahoma State:

Now, Smart’s taking his flopping to new levels, at the highest of basketball levels: The NBA Playoffs.

In the fourth quarter of Celtics-Hawks Game 3 on Friday night at TD Garden, Smart barely made contact with Atlanta’s Kyle Korver (not exactly a physical specimen), and reacted like he was hit by a bus.

Here’s video of the flop, which will leave you shaking your head, but probably laughing hard too:

This flop was so bad. Like, the WWE even would even say that move was over the top.

I can’t help but laugh at it over and over, but yeah, this kind of play can’t happen — especially in the fourth quarter of the NBA Playoffs — and the NBA should probably consider a fine for Smart here.

As for the actual game, the Celtics won 111-103, but the Hawks still take a 2-1 lead into Game 4.

(Update: Smart has been fined $5,000 for the flop.)
