The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in acquiring Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley.
This report comes after the Knicks have publicly discussed upgrading their point guards this offseason. New York’s current point guard group includes Jose Calderon, Jerian Grant and Tony Wroten.
Rose averaged 16.4 points and 4. 7 assists in 66 games, the most he has played since the 2010-11 season.
It is yet to be known whether the Bulls are interested in dealing their oft-injured point guard to the Knicks. Outside of draft picks, New York’s only viable assists for any kind of trade would be Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

The news of Rose’s possible departure is a part of what looks to be an overhaul by Chicago. Joakim Noah has outwardly said he is ready to leave the Bulls. And though nothing has come from Chicago’s side regarding Rose’s status with the team, there are some in the Windy City that believe Rose and Jimmy Butler should be traded.
Derrick Rose is precisely the amount of washed that would make the Knicks salivate

On one hand, perhaps a fresh start would do both Rose and Melo good. On the other hand, perhaps it would accomplish nothing for either team.
