The NCAA Tournament was off on Wednesday, but the Denver Nuggets’ Emmanuel Mudiay brought some March Madness “ONIONS!” action to the NBA.

With the Nuggets trailing 103-101 to the Philadelphia 76ers at Pepsi Center, Mudiay hit this incredible game-winning shot from the half-court logo, to barely beat the buzzer:

Let’s break down how crazy that shot was with screenshot help:

1. Mudiay fumbles his dribble with 1.3 seconds left.

2. Mudiay grabs the ball, while bending down to the ground, with 1.0 seconds left.

3. Mudiay is facing the sidelines, and sandwiched in between two 76ers defenders, with 0.6 seconds left.

4. Mudiay incredibly swings around to face the basket in the shooting position — even with his momentum going horizontally — with 0.5 seconds left.

5. Mudiay finally lets the ball go out of his hands with 00.1 seconds left.

What an amazing shot — and sequence — from the Nuggets’ 20-year-old rookie point guard. Congrats to the two Sixers defenders for…not fouling him? The win actually moves Denver up two spots in the overall NBA standings—and keeps the Sixers tucked deep in the basement—but because of the NBA’s convoluted draft pick trade-and-swap deals, this one shot could keep the Toronto Raptors, of all teams, from getting a top-1o pick. It was a crazy shot.
