Spurs guard and Belgium native Tony Parker spends most of his time in San Antonio, which likely makes it hard to get fine French cuisine whenever he wants. Since he can’t shuffle off to France at a moment’s notice, he’s bringing a little bit of France to San Antonio.

Parker, along with Chef Cliff Chetwood, is opening a French cuisine food truck called “Crème de la Crème.” Chetwood has been Parker’s private cuisinier since 2011 and the two will be co-owners of the new venture, which make its debut on March 18. The Spurs have home games on March 17 and March 19 so the timing is right for Tony to make a special appearance that day.

So what does a Tony Parker food truck serve?

Inspired by Parker’s French heritage and Chef Cliff’s travels to France, Crème de la Crème will feature a rotating menu that will include savory and sweet crepes, croque monsieurs, plus classic French café and brasserie dishes like salade chèvre chaud (hot goat cheese salad), steak frites (steak and fries), escalope de veau (veal scallopini) and escalope de saumon (salmon scallopini).

It looks like Parker and Chetwood will be going with a classy approach, which means we probably won’t see Spurs-themed menu items such as Tim Duncan’s Dunkin’ Beignets or Popovich Goat Cheese Poppers. Shame.
