One of the most famous things to ever happen on Twitter was when two dudes had a beef about Kobe Bryant that escalated all the way to the point where they agreed to fight. In person. At Temecula. The California town has now become the symbolic home for all Twitter beefs that get to the ridiculous point of transitioning into real life.
Enter Rockets forward Trevor Ariza, who had his own Temecula experience after Houston’s season was ended by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs.
Ariza sent a DM to a fan who called him out in November for taking too many pull-up jumpers. I’m glad he doesn’t hold any grudges or anything.
@TerryLee__ pull up then

The DM suggested that the fan give Ariza his address to they could meet up and settle their dispute, likely a calm and measured discussion about x’s and o’s, and advanced analytics concerning the value of mid-range jump shots.
Or not.
The fan shared this DM exchange with Ariza.

Things finally seemed to settle down with the two heading back to their respective Twitter pages to subtweet each other. If only Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton had that option.
That lil baby dry snitching

I know this is immature but I see y ppl do it. It's funny
This is what happens when you think James Harden gone save you like he do on the court.

But then it seemed to escalate again and the fan said that Ariza actually called him!
This punk gone call me a snitch and he all the way in LA. I'm not playing bout my name bro. @TrevorAriza let me know when you in Houston.

Trevor actually called me a few hours ago. Said he would pull up at my job before I get off. But now he in LA.
But finally, Ariza said everyone needed to chill out because it wasn’t that serious. Because Ariza wasn’t the one that DM’d a fan challenging him to meet up after an innocuous tweet he sent about taking too many pull-up jumpers back in November.
People c'mon…None of this is serious! Our fans are with us -win or lose. Nothing but love!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So it seems like the Rockets offseason is off to a fun start!
