Former Baylor University Defensive End Shawn Oakman was arrested by police in Waco, Texas on charges he sexually assaulted another student after leaving a nightclub with her early Sunday morning.

Oakman, 24, graduated in December from Baylor and is the program’s all-time sack leader. He’s currently waiting to be booked into the jail, according to the Waco Tribune. No bond information is available at the moment.

The police looked through his home back on April 3rd because it reportedly occurred that day between 2 and 3 a.m. Oakman told the police the sexual contact the two had was consensual.

A police affidavit for the search warrant stated police wanted to look for clothes the woman left behind. It was drafted by police Detective Sam Key, and it said the woman met Oakman at a bar on Speight Avenue and he asked her if she wanted to go to his apartment. After they walked there, the affidavit says he forced her into a bedroom, “forcibly” removed her clothes, and sexually assaulted her. The victim went to the hospital after the assault and was looked at by a sexual assault nurse examiner, the court says.

Just a couple hours after the incident reportedly occurred on April 3rd, Oakman tweeted the following:

Oakman was a third-team All-America defensive end in 2015 and was invited to play at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

Baylor has had other recent incidents with its players and sexual assault. Tevin Elliot, another former defensive end, was sentenced to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine in 2014 for two counts of sexual assault in 2012.

Former defensive end, Sam Ukwuachu, was convicted of sexual assault in August of 2015, and it was recommended by the jury that he be placed on probation. The school reached an undisclosed settlement with the victim and no lawsuit was filed.
