Former Texas Longhorns standout and Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young was arrested for DWI Monday morning, according to FOX 7 in Austin.

The Austin Statesman is reporting that he was booked into Travis County Jail at 12:46 a.m. Monday and his bail was set at $2,000.

According to an affidavit by the arresting officer, Young “smelled strongly of alcohol” and showed several symptoms of intoxication while attempting to walk. In addition, the officer reported that Young’s speech was muddled and his eyes were glassy. Young was stopped shortly after he did not drive for approximately 10 seconds after the light he was at turned green, followed by driving at erratic speeds.

Young, 32, is best known for his decorated college career, leading Texas to what some call the greatest national championship game ever played against USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl. In addition to a national title victory, Young finished with a 30-2 career record at Texas and finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting his junior season.

He was picked third overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2006 NFL Draft and won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. Young spent five years with the team, even leading them to a playoff appearance. He then had a short stint in Philadelphia, before bouncing among the practice rosters of Buffalo, Green Bay, and Cleveland. He was released by the Browns in 2014, the same year he also filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Young has been serving as a diversity and community engagement officer in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at Texas, after considering giving an NFL career one more shot. But he was not invited to the league’s veteran combine last year.
