Kentucky recruit

Kentucky Wildcats football signee Jordan Bonner is recovering after being stabbed while visiting his infant son over the weekend in Euclid, Ohio.

Bonner, a three-star recruit out of Northeast Oklahoma A&M (junior college), claims he was stabbed six times:

Jordan Bonner told Fox 8 that he was stabbed six times.

“In my chest, abdomen , and back,” Bonner said.

Bonner told Fox 8 that the rehab from the injuries will take six to 12 weeks. He spent four days in the hospital:

“This sets me back a little because I need to finish my classes and I can’t go back until I get the staples out next week,” said Bonner, who spent four days in the hospital.

Euclid police have arrested Aristotle Lewis in connection with the incident, and charged Lewis with felony assault. Fox 8 reports that Lewis plead not guilty to the charge.

Bonner is a 6’5″, 215-pound outside linebacker that chose Kentucky over offers from schools such as Nebraska, Louisville, and Tennessee. He was rated the No. 10 juco outside linebacker in the country by 247 sports. He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining for Kentucky, and hopefully he will be able to fully recover and play football this fall for the Wildcats.
