‘Senior Day’ is always a memorable day for a college athlete, but it will be an especially memorable one for Colgate University senior guard Austin Tillotson.
During Colgate’s Senior Day game against Loyola (Maryland) on Sunday at Cotterell Court, Tillotson hit a half-court shot to beat the buzzer in overtime, for a 93-90 Raiders win. Just about a perfect way for your final home game in college to go, right?
Right before Tillotson’s game-winner, Loyola’s Andre Walker nailed a huge three-pointer of his own to tie the game with 2.9 seconds left. It looked like Walker had sent the game to a second overtime, but Tillotson quickly made sure that wouldn’t be the case.
