Despite voting results that indicate the overwhelming number of people in his own party do not want him to be President, Ohio governor John Kasich is still chugging along in the GOP race. Thanks to Tuesday night’s primary, Kasich was in Wisconsin last week and was asked who he would pick as his running mate. Because Kasich is bad politician, he told voters he would pick local hero and Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers — but only if he had a better year next season.
It was not the worst thing he could have said, but politicians tend to say dumb things from time to time with little ramifications. However, things got much worse for Kasich once Rodgers made it known he had caught wind of what the governor had said.
Who will @AaronRodgers12 make VP after he wins the Wisconsin Primary and eventually the election?

Kasich maybe. Depending on how the rest of his year goes. #WINconsin https://t.co/sXd7q8BDsz

Kasich finished a distant third on Tuesday and received a whopping zero delegates from the state. Meanwhile Rodgers received a few write-in votes, and thanked a couple of his voters on Twitter.

Perhaps Kasich could learn a thing or two about campaigning from Rodgers. In any event, it does not look like he will get the former MVP’s vote. In fact, he balked at the notion on Twitter.
Seriously? Is your head stuck in the sand permanently? Do you follow me normally? Wake up and smell the Gouda. https://t.co/fxo2TRx1wJ

Not a good few days for the Kasich campaign.
