Cam Newton

Cam Newton is all about style, so when he hits the road it should be no surprise he does so in a way that will make you look twice.

Newton is the proud owner of a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass, and you better believe it is customized from bumper to bumper. According to a  report from ESPN, Newton’s prized possession is outfitted in 24-karat gold plating and the inside is done with diamond stitching on the seats. When you are the Most Valuable Player of the National Football League, that is just how you roll.

As you can see from the image above, Newton’s front grill features a Panther, but this is not a preview of any future logo change for the Carolina Panthers (or maybe it is, so feel free to go ahead with that rumor and speculation if you wish). It would have been a nice touch to see the actual Panthers logo be used, but maybe that would have been a little too tacky. As Popular Mechanics makes note, the logo is actually bolted on, just in case there comes a day when Newton needs to replace the logo. That’s one way to plan ahead.

The car was worked on at a garage in Georgia, which has also worked on Newton’s Chevelle and expects to begin working on Newton’s Rolls-Royce.

Just imagine what Newton would be driving if he had won the Super Bowl.
