Some mascots are scary. Some mascots are terrifying. The Chicago Bears’ mascot is just mean.

Who among us has not faced the frustration with operating the claw in the arcades in a futile attempt to grab a stuffed animal or another item of your choosing? You know the feeling, when your claw grasps a hold of your coveted prize, only to make you boil as you watch your treasure slip out of the hands of the claw, back to the pile of novelties. You pump more quarters in as you try to make up for your misfortune, only to eventually find you spent way too many quarters than you initially budgeted for just for a measly little stuffed bear.

But what if the prize attacked back?

The Chicago Bears sent their mascot, Staley, into the claw machine attraction at a local Dave & Busters to catch some treasure hunters off guard in scary fashion. As the claw grabs a hold of Staley’s head, he retaliates by jumping up against the glass to scare those trying to claim him as their prize. It is equal parts comedy and horror all blended together for our amusement:
