Johnny Manziel has had quite the past week. Von Miller praised him and said he’d love to have him on the Broncos, Manziel told TMZ he was living with Miller only to have Miller say that’s not true, and he was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run accident and was picked up afterwards by Josh Gordon. Earlier today, Manziel got his latest piece of bad news.

Adam Schefter is reporting his second agent of the offseason, Drew Rosenhaus, has told Manziel he won’t represent him unless he gets treatment. At that point, Rosenhaus will consider representing him again.

“I have terminated the standard representation with Johnny Manziel in the hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs,” Rosenhaus said. “Otherwise the termination will become permanent. There is a five-day window for me to rescind the termination. I’m hoping he takes the necessary steps to get his life back on track.”

Ed Werder also reported when Rosenhaus agreed to represent Manziel earlier in the offseason, the contract required Manziel to enter a treatment facility for the contract to hold up. If the contract falls through, Manziel will be the first player Rosenhaus has fired in his 27 years of being an agent for NFL players.

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with partying, bro,” Manziel said. “There’s a difference between partying and being out of control.”

Manziel is currently at the center of a grand jury investigation in Dallas for reportedly assaulting his former girlfriend. The league is investigating the incident as well. On February 5th, the Dallas PD announced it was opening an investigation into him. The case was originally closed, but then re-opened.

The quarterback was released by the Browns on March 11th. Before being cut by Cleveland, Manziel’s marketing agency, LRMR, ended its contract with him on January 6th. Manziel’s last agent before Rosenhaus, Erik Burkhardt announced at the same time he would no longer represent the 2014 22nd overall pick.

You really have to hope and think we’re close to rock bottom at this point but given Manziel seems totally obtuse and unfazed by all the negative press, I think sadly we’re nowhere the end of this irresponsible and meandering portion of his career.
