Defensive end Mario Williams joined the Miami Dolphins this offseason after a tumultuous 2015 season with the Buffalo Bills in which the veteran pass rusher dished out complaints and was complained about.

Williams made it common knowledge that he was unhappy with his role in the Bills’ defense, and his teammates and other members of the team echoed similar sentiments towards the veteran defensive end in regards to the effort he was putting in. Now armed with a new team and a fresh start, Williams is promising to bring a much better attitude to the Dolphins than the one he left behind in Buffalo.

“The No. 1 thing that you can definitely look forward to [from me] is attitude,” Williams said. “I think any year, no matter what happens previous, you can’t look at the future or anything like that, but you can handle right now. And my biggest thing, every day I wake up is going to be the best attitude I’ve ever had. And with attitude, everything is going to follow. I know for sure I’m going to be out there humming 100 miles per hour and it’s going to be full attitude.”

Heading into 2016, Williams will join a front four that includes the likes of Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh, so it is certainly an upgrade from a talent standpoint compared to the Bills. Though, with Suh’s attitude problems throughout his career, it will be interesting to see just how well these two can play together and if they can keep their behavior in check. With the Dolphins breaking in a new defensive coordinator in Vance Joseph, the Dolphins could certainly have one of the more underrated defensive lines in football. Though whether Miami can finally put all of their talent together on a consistent basis during the regular season will remain to be seen.
