It was a big night for the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Buckeyes had five players go in the first round, as well as three of the top 10 players.

Darron Lee was one of those five, selected No. 20 overall by the New York Jets. As Lee worked his way to the podium, his head coach at Ohio State, Urban Meyer, went for a high-five, and quickly saw that Lee would not be connecting on the exchange.

That’s certainly not an ideal situation to be in if you’re Meyer, but he brought that SEC speed in realizing that Lee was going to leave him hanging, after going for a hug with somebody else.

Despite being left hanging, Meyer can’t be too mad. He can now go into the living room of recruits and boast about having five of his players selected in the first round, and the millions of dollars they’re all about to make. Not to mention, the Buckeyes are expected to have anywhere between 13 and 15 players selected before the draft is over.

That’s quite the recruiting chip, and Meyer won’t mind being denied a high-five as long as he gets to play that card.
