Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs was reportedly arrested on Friday morning after being detained for a suspended license, reports TMZ Sports, which was later confirmed by the Ravens.

Suggs got into a minor car accident earlier that night, where cops were called despite nobody being injured. Suggs was later arrested at a Mexican restaurant after it was learned his license had been suspended due to speeding tickets. Suggs notified the team right away following the incident.

“Terrell made us aware of the situation and we are looking into it,” stated Ravens Senior Vice President of Public & Community Relations Kevin Byrne.

TMZ reports Suggs plans to fix his license and speeding ticket issues as soon as possible, to avoid any future arrests.

The lesson here, of course, is always pay your tickets, because you never know when something stupid might happen and then you end up getting arrested for essentially being lazy. Suggs didn’t help his cause by driving with a suspended license, but at least he contacted the team right away and handled the situation. A little too late to stay out of the headlines, though.
