Finally, The Rock has come back to the top of the international movie star charts.

The most electrifying man in sports and entertainment, Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. The Rock), was named the top international box office star of 2015 by Deadline. He was previously the top international box office star in 2013. According to the deadline rankings, Johnson pulled in a combined box office earnings of $1.48 billion.

Only way to start this post is with THANK YOU. WORLD’S #1 INTERNATIONAL BOX OFFICE STAR. I was blessed with this title in 2013 and now again in 2015. $1.48billion is a lot of revenue to generate in our business in only one year, BUT it’s also the important reminder that regardless of what we achieve in life, we always gotta keep striving for more, staying hungrier than the rest and being grateful around every corner. This cool global achievement doesn’t happen without my amazing family, management, agents, attorneys, publicists, financial management, studio partners, fellow actors, Team Rock and the final two deserving personal shout outs – my dog #HobbsTheBeast and you… THE greatest f*cking fans in the world. Stay hungry and keep working your ass off because one day I want to see the news write a cool report about you and YOUR accomplishments. #LetsGetToWork #ChaseYourGreatness #SevenBucksProductions #1WorldWide #TimeForACheatMeal 👊🏾💯

2015 was certainly a big year for Johnson. Johnson continued to play a role in the hugely popular Fast and the Furious franchise with the release of Furious 7. He also landed a starring role in San Andreas. He also found time to make an appearance at WrestleMania, of course. As if that were not enough, Johnson’s TV series, Ballers, premiered to positive results as well, although that is not included in the box office numbers used by Deadline.

Perhaps not surprisingly, right behind The People’s Champ in the Deadline box office rankings was his Furious 7 ally, Vin Diesel, who accounted for $1.25 billion. Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, came in at No. 3 with $1.06 billion between the latest Avengers film and roles in In the Heart of the Sea and Blackhat. Jurassic World’s Chris Pratt was ranked No. 5. Other Avengers made the top 10 as well. Mark Ruffalo (No. 6; $956.1 million) had Avengers: Age of Ultron and Foxcatcher helping him out. Chris Evans followed at No. 7 ($948.6 million), followed by Robert Downey Jr. at No. 8 ($946.9 million). There is no truth to the rumor Captain America: Civil War will be to settle the score over that ranking.

The highest-ranked female in the box office ranking was another Avenger, Scarlett Johansson (No. 9, $946 million). Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher ranked No. 10 and No. 11, respectively, thanks to a late push from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
