Two of the most iconic boy bands from the late 90s and early aughts have teamed up, as the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC are working together to kill zombies.

Yes, you read that correctly. Dead 7 is a new movie for Syfy which stars Nick Carter as a hero in a post-apocalyptic Wild West that’s infested with zombies. Carter is joined in the film by fellow Backstreet Boys A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough, along with Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick from NSYNC. Here’s a trailer to prove that this thing is really happening.

However, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC aren’t the only boy bands having zombie-killing fun. O-Town’s Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick, Dan Miller, and Jacob Underwood are also in the film, as well as Jeff Timmons, the lone representative from 98 Degrees. (Nick Lachey must be too busy being the new lead singer for Foo Fighters.)

Along with his starring role in Dead 7, Carter is helping produce the film with Asylum, the production company responsible for the Sharknado movies.

While watching the film, will it be impossible not to hear some of the hits that these boy bands performed some 15-20 years ago? Some of those stars could trigger a few music memories. Maybe the movie’s score and soundtrack will also emulate a few of those memorable songs. Wouldn’t it be a mistake not to? Give the people what they want! And zombies.
