If you wanted to see Seth Rogen shirtless, Neighbors 2 will be here to serve you.

Neighbors was rather big success in Spring 2014, earning $270 million worldwide (against an $18 million budget). So a sequel to the comedy was a no-brainer, not just for capitalizing on the first movie’s success, but also for offering a comedy alternative to the big franchise blockbusters that typically populate theaters beginning in May (which has become the unofficial start of the movie summer).

OK, you’ve been wanting to see shirtless Rogen with muscle definition drawn on his torso, so let’s get to that trailer. (I appreciate you reading the previous introductory paragraph.)

I thought the first Neighbors could have been funnier, but enjoyed the observations it made about younger couples growing up and realizing they can’t go out and party like they did before, especially when they become parents. Can a sequel really go there again convincingly? Or do Rogen and Rose Byrne’s characters just need to embrace getting older and grow up?

But maybe that’s not a problem, judging from the trailer. The real dilemma is how to approach a rowdy sorority moving in next door, a twist on the first movie’s premise. Can Rogen and Byrne effectively declare war on a house of college girls? It was easier to do so against a bunch of frat guys, led by Zac Efron and Dave Franco. It appears that the story intends to address that, in addition to the notion that women can’t be just as rowdy and disruptive when it comes to alcohol and drug-induced frivolity.

Along with Rogen, Byrne, Efron and Franco, Ike Barinholtz and Carla Gallo return for the sequel, along with director Nicholas Stoller, joined by Chloe Grace Moretz, Selena Gomez and Kiersey Clemons (Dope). Neighbors 2 will hit theaters on May 20.
