The May additions to Netflix are, well, probably the weakest for a month so far in 2016.

But, there are some intriguing additions, with the second season of the Netflix Original series Bloodline being the most notable (and one I’m particularly very excited about).

A new month also means that we’ll unfortunately lose some shows and movies on Netflix, so I’ll provide that information in case you want to quickly watch any of those titles before they’re gone.

Let’s first take a look at what’s coming to Netflix in May (I’ve put some notable titles in bold to try to help you out)…

Lady Dynamite: Season 1 (Netflix Original)

Netflix’s YouTube description of this show that features a lot of notable comedians/actors:

This is the true story of a woman who loses — and then finds — her shit.
Lady Dynamite is a 12-episode half-hour comedy from Mitch Hurwitz (Arrested Development) and Pam Brady (South Park) starring comedian-actress Maria Bamford. Based on what she has accepted to be “her life,” the semi-autobiographical, semi-surreal series is a truthful look at the highs and lows of Bamford’s life — as an actor on the rise, during her hospitalization for bipolar disorder, and through her present life in LA, where she’s reached a middle ground and found love.

May 22
David and Goliath
The Letters
The Ouija Experiment 2: Theatre of Death

May 23

Bloodline: Season 2 (Netflix Original)

NOTE: Don’t watch this trailer if you haven’t seen Season 1 of Bloodline.

Oh those Rayburns! I’ve seen every season of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and House of Cards… and Season 1 of Bloodline may have been favorite Netflix Original season so far. I absolutely loved it and feel it didn’t get nearly enough recognition when talking the best television shows of 2015. It may be difficult for the second season to be as good (for spoilery reasons I can’t get into), but I’m excited for it, and the trailer certainly makes it look promising.

Chef’s Table: Season 2, Part 1

The Do-Over (Netflix Original)

The life of a bank manager (David Spade) is turned upside down when a friend (Adam Sandler) from his past manipulates him into faking his own death and taking off on an adventure.

The second of the four movies Adam Sandler signed on to do with Netflix. Ridiculous 6 was a massive failure, but The Do-Over appears to have some potential from the trailer. It at least should have some good moments with David Spade’s characters, and has the Pineapple Express style comedy/action feel to it. I’d still keep the expectations low, but we may at least have a watchable movie here.

Mako Mermaids: Season 4 (Netflix Original)

May 28
Hell on Wheels: Season 5
