We’ve all had strange dreams. The kind of dreams that are crazy and insane but are just barely realistic that it could potentially happen in some alternate universe.

This Dale Earnhardt Jr. dream though, is especially out there. Dale Jr. shared a dream featuring himself, his fiancée Amy and Lil Wayne.

“Had the craziest dream last night. We were all running the Sprint All-Star race. Steve O’Donnell (NASCAR Exec VP and Chief Racing Development Officer) was talking shit to me on my radio about how boring the long green flag runs were. (The segments were only 40 laps). Steve was in a bar located at the track so after segment 2, Amy and I decided to go have a beer with him. Lil Wayne was in the bar too and he started a short lived “Earnhardt” chant. We stayed at the bar for quite a while Marcus Smith (CEO Charlotte Motor Speedway) decided to cancel the third segment and bought the house a round.”

Don’t worry Dale, I believe you that you had this dream. I don’t think anyone could consciously come up with a scenario of this on their own without a little bit of…let’s call it help.

And if the subsconscious Dale and his mates thought 40 laps was boring, well they’re in for a bit longer race this year. NASCAR announced yesterday that the Sprint All-Star Race format will change to two 50-lap segments along with a 13-lap shootout where the winner receives $1,000,000 as has been the grand prize in recent years. Participants are those who have won a race in the past year, won the All-Star Race, won a Sprint Cup championship or be the winner of the preliminary races or the fan vote that night.

Hopefully the lure of the $1,000,000 check will keep Dale Jr.’s attention and if he does win, he may be the one buying the round of beers at the end of the night.
