If there’s anybody who turns out to be a fan of soccer that you perhaps never thought would be a fan, it’s Brett Favre. As it turns out, Favre is a pretty big fan of Germany’s best team – Bayern Munich.
The first public record of it appears to be from last year, when he gave Jimmy Fallon a Bayern jersey, as opposed to one of his own from the Packers, Jets, or Vikings.
Special delivery from @FCBayern. Some frame them, but I knew you would wear it @jimmyfallon. Watch us #Sqor tonight! pic.twitter.com/zTnfyOWtCZ

On Saturday, Favre posted a photo of himself wearing a No. 4 jersey to Twitter to support the Bundesliga side:
It's all about an @FCBayern win right now! #MiaSanMia FC Bayern https://t.co/o4zaABS3Tq pic.twitter.com/JAmCEFo3SL

It does make sense that now he has all the free time in the world outside of selling jeans to pick up a new sport. And hey, maybe Favre would be a good ambassador for the sport and get some folks to actually give it a shot that might not otherwise feel the need to check it out. If you ever needed a sign for just how entrenched the European soccer craze truly is, this just might be it. How much longer can it be until Fox calls him to be a guest Bundesliga analyst?
