SAINT-ETIENNE, FRANCE – JUNE 25: Xherdan Shaqiri of Switzerland scores his team’s first goal during the UEFA EURO 2016 round of 16 match between Switzerland and Poland at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on June 25, 2016 in Saint-Etienne, France. (Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images)

Few things are cooler than a bicycle kick goal.

It’s essentially taking soccer at the highest level, and adding an element of world-class gymnastic ability right on top. During yesterday’s Round of 16 match between Switzerland and Poland at the Euro 2016 tournament, Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri took it to another level.

Switzerland trailed 1-0 in the 82nd minute of the knockout game, so the stakes were obviously high. Just scoring an equalizer would have set things off, but scoring from near the edge of the penalty box on an overhead kick, combined with fantastic Spanish commentary? Yes please:

That’s lovely work, and one of the best elongated “GOL!” calls you’ll hear. Unfortunately for Switzerland, they would end up falling to Poland on penalty kicks, and their tournament is over.

But they’ll always have this moment.
