After years as a vending machine and school cafeteria staple, Cheetos has aspirations of becoming more than just the snack you get when you don’t care about covering your hands in orange sugar dust.

Cheetos has announced it will open a pop-up restaurant in New York called “The Spotted Cheetah” that will feature a fully Cheetos-themed menu. You can start with an appetizer of Cheetos crusted fried pickles + creamy ranch, follow up with an entree of flamin’ hot limón chicken tacos and finish with a dessert of white cheddar Cheetos and Cheetos Sweetos apple crepes.

Cheetos isn’t messing around here. They’ve partnered with celebrity chef Anne Burrell, who has worked at some of the nicest restaurants in New York, as well as some of the best restaurants in Charleston SC, and starred on several Food Network shows.

“As a long-time Cheetos fan, I’m thrilled to join forces with a snack brand that is truly an iconic American staple,” Burrell said in a press release. “I had so much fun curating this specially crafted, one-of-a-kind menu for the first Cheetos restaurant — I can’t wait to see guests’ reactions!”

Cheetos, you’ll be very interested to know, was founded in 1948 and has more or less maintained the same basic product since, occasionally mixing things up with puffy Cheetos, baked Cheetos or a flaming hot Cheetos. In recent years Cheetos have begun to pop up at fast food like Taco Bell and Burger King as a key ingredient in specialty items. Now, they’re taking the next leap.

The restaurant will be open from August 15-17. If you want to get in, you’re going to want to make a reservation quickly.
