I want to bring everyone’s attention to this food item that Levy Restaurants, the Milwaukee Bucks’ concessions provider at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, will be selling during Wednesday night’s Heat-Bucks game.

That is a foot long hot dog covered in cheese sauce, topped with fried cheese curds, and served on a pretzel bun.

I have a few questions.

  • Is this just nacho cheese sauce, or something better? Because if it’s the partially gelatinated crap that is ladled onto nachos, I’m thoroughly nonplussed.
  • Does everyone in Wisconsin have fried cheese curds on the menu as a side item and/or appetizer? That sounds like heaven.
  • Why are pretzel buns not more popular? I still can’t get over this. Pretzel buns are incredible, and you don’t see them in the wild nearly enough.

But good on you, Levy – even if this is a “one night only” thing. At least it’s not a pizza with a fried chicken crust.
