Trader Joe’s was incredibly proud of its latest culinary innovation combining a hot dog and a puff pastry, which they call the Puff Dog. The new item found in your local Trader Joe’s frozen section was deemed “pretty genius” in the marketing material on the website. It sure is a genius move, because people all over the world have been enjoying sausage rolls for quite a long time.
Foodies around the globe are making sure Trader Joe’s knows they did not invent the sausage roll. Twitter users in England and Australia are calling out Trader Joe’s, for example.
Not only is the name stupid 'puff dogs' but the fact Americans think they invented this new snack is worse It's a sausage roll jog on pet

Americans actually think they've just discovered the sausage roll, there isn't a face palm big enough for this. https://t.co/erN8WjYscz

There is absolutely nothing unique about this. Even more locally, I can tell you the sausage roll has been enjoyed by me in and around the city of Philadelphia at the Reading Terminal Market or at a Philly Soft Pretzel Factory while waiting for a train out of the city. This is nothing new; it’s just new for Trader Joe’s, apparently.
