Here’s a take so cold, it makes North Dakota seem like Arizona.

Via Pro Football Talk, here’s ESPN analyst and former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski during a 2014 appearance on Philadelphia local radio when asked who he’d prefer between Nick Foles and Russell Wilson…

“I’m taking Foles,” Jaworski said.  “Not even close.  Russell Wilson is just . . . because of that system he is in.  Russell Wilson plays with that defense, the best in football.  He just managed the game very well.  I think Russell Wilson has played terrific, a great maturity, but I’m going to take Nick Foles.”

Jaws would probably take that back right now if he could. Foles could never replicate his Pro Bowl 2013 season when he threw for 27 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions. In March 2015, after missing half of a forgettable 2014 season due injury, the Eagles traded him to the St. Louis Rams, where Foles struggled and lost his starting job.  After spending 2016 backing up Alex Smith in Kansas City, Foles just signed on for a second stint with the Eagles where he will back up Carson Wentz.

Obvioutsly, Wilson has fared much better, as he has lead the Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances and one championship so far in his career.

Of course, Jaworski is no stranger to hyperbolic comments regarding quarterbacks.
