If you’re looking for someone who is extremely freaked out by Hurricane Matthew and wants people to know about it, look no further than Fox News host Shep Smith.

Though Smith doesn’t have any credentials that allows him to be taken seriously as a meteorologist, that didn’t stop Smith from giving a very fatalistic view about what is going to happen to those in Florida during Hurricane Matthew:

Here is one of the most shocking things Smith had to say.

“See this? Melbourne? Daytona Beach? Jacksonville? This moves 20 miles to the west, and you and everyone you know are dead. All of you. Because you can’t survive it. It’s not possible. Unless you’re very, very lucky. And your kids die, too.”

Whew, okay. This is pretty blunt and pretty scary from Smith. Obviously, there is plenty of reason to be alarmed about the storm that will soon hit the Sunshine state. This, however, seems a little over-the-top.

What has to be the saddest part of that clip is Smith’s description about his upcoming guest. Talking about her impending funeral doesn’t seem to be the greatest way to break the ice with an interview subject.

Look, this storm is going to be bad, and you should do what the Florida democrats account suggests — not what Vanilla Ice says — if you’re a resident there:

But Smith’s rant seems to be more of a chance to get views and scare people. But hey, it is Fox News after all. And hey, here we are talking about it.
