We have a contender for “Canadian crime of the month,” as a man in Russell, Manitoba broke into a beer store at 2:45 a.m. earlier this month to aid in a robbery while wearing a full set of goalie equipment. Here’s the photo of the story in question, which comes from the crime blotter of the local newspaper, The Russell Banner (not available online without a subscription). It was posted on Reddit Wednesday, and later discussed by Canadians like former NHL player Cale Hulse (currently a business advisor to the Arizona Coyotes) and Russell native (plus beer-chugging Olympic gold medalist) Jon Montgomery:
