Wolf

There is apparently an epidemic of wolves invading the city of Paris. But don’t be afraid, Parisianswolves don’t want to eat you.

But why are Parisians afraid of wolves coming to the city to begin with? Isn’t Paris…well, not their natural habitat?

Wolf sightings have been reported in areas around Paris by virtue of paw prints, droppings, and howling all being reported in recent weeks. Naturally, if there were wolves in your backyard, you probably would be a bit scared.

But there isn’t all that much to fear, says the leader of a wolf-watching group Alliance Avec Les Loups, Manoel Altman.

“These kinds of animals aren’t interested in eating people. We walk on two legs, they only eat four-legged animals.”

These wolves’ natural habitat was in the French Alps and farther away from Paris, but they were nearly hunted to extinction in the 1930s. Since then, they have been awarded special protection as an endangered species, meaning there is nothing that can stop the wolves from procreating en masse.

So the next time you head to Paris to see the Eiffel Towel, the Louvre, or the Arc De Triomphe, you may have an unwelcome, four legged, howling companion. But don’t fear, because they aren’t eating you – unless you walk on all fours for whatever reason.
