As a guy born and raised in the city, anything dealing with the outdoors is a little much for me. Deer, raccoons, and squirrels still roam my backyard from time to time, making this “city boy” anxious. So when I saw this video with a man trying to help a skunk, I almost couldn’t look.

A skunk with a pop can on it’s head shouldn’t be more compelling than half of the movies that came out this summer, but such is life. This daring rescue is extremely suspenseful and ultimately gives you a sense of relief that you didn’t even know you needed in your life.

The running commentary from the brave gentleman puts it over the top. Going from hoping he doesn’t get sprayed by the skunk to becoming lifelong friends with it in a short minute. We could all learn a bit from our anonymous hero.

Skunk be damned, no animal should have to go through that experience. As a public service announcement from The Comeback, please make sure to dispose of all trash properly. We’ll be watching.
