Leaving your dogs in a car during the summer is one of the worst things you can do. You would never do it to a child, and you shouldn’t do it to your furry friends either.

Even if you leave the car running, that appears to still not be safe, at least with these dogs.

Last Friday in Wayne, West Virginia, a pair of dogs decided to take their owner’s car for a joy ride after one of the terriers was able to get the car out of park, and let the car roll into the Walmart

The owner of the car was an elderly woman, who would eventually be paged to the front of the store after her car drove into the front of it.

The lesson to be learned here is that if you can’t take your pets inside somewhere with you, they probably shouldn’t be going at all. Surely they can last at home for a little while.
