Sometimes you have good days, and other times you have tremendously awful days. For a woman at the Prince Edward Island, marathon, last Sunday leaned heavily towards the latter.
As a marathon in PEI started, a driver pulled up directly in front of the start line. After realizing her mistake, she opted to go the safe, deeply embarrassing route, parking her car, watching as runners gave her odd looks to start the race as the ran by. To top it all off, Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger plays in the background, adding levity to the awkward situation.
The driver didn’t have any other options than to just sit and wait it out. She had a green light and could have continued onwards, but considering the amount of foot traffic, the decision to drive through the people wasn’t an option. The question remains: Were streets properly closed down for the race? If not, it’s hard to put the driver at fault. If they were, the poor driver is at serious fault. I’d love to see the tape of just how she got there.
